On Wednesday November 1, the Pakachoag Center welcomed a variety of guests for a time of socializing and exchange of thoughts and ideas.
After a period of mingling and an opportunity to tour the facility, each person was invited to offer something of their particular story, with any thoughts about how they might envision the center as a setting through which to share and expand those stories. The fifteen or so persons present represented an encompassing diversity of personal and vocational backgrounds, histories, life investments and interests, all of which were engaging, even compelling.
The exchange portion of the evening concluded with remarks and observations by musician Brenda Salvi who also demonstrated the renowned Dobson organ which is housed in the building, and which has undergirded a rich tradition of musical instruction and performance since its installation nearly twenty-five years ago. The Center is envisioned as a crossroads environment with this but the first of many additional occasions for exchange and interaction.
