This event offers a preview of what the greater community can expect to experience at a powwow, including regalia, drums, dance, food and conversation.
Presenters include Indigenous tribal members Chief Ladybug (Croatan) from Native Heritage New England, Chief Eagle Rising (Mi’kmaq) from the Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association, Chief Blackwolf of the Nipmuc tribe, Medicine Spirit Laughing Eyes from Native Heritage New England, Macayla from Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association and Quiet Rabbit Seeking from Greater Lowell Indian Cultural Association.
This preview event along with the upcoming "Pre-Powwow Education Series" will be open to the public and will offer and exciting and immersive way for the Central MA area to experience and learn about Indigenous culture as it continues to be lived and honored today.
